"I just returned from the Middle Fork last Sunday. When I heard of your book, I went to Cascade Outfitters and picked myself up a new copy as did several in our group. This was my second time down the river, the first captaining my own boat. My wife and I found your book very helpful in navigating the rapids (when we could actually track where we were;) and the areas of special interest and hikes were fun to explore. Many in our group had over 50 trips under their belt and even they got to see new things they hadn't before.

The book held up well to the daily rigors of river running and now looks like a nicely worn edition with a place on my coffee table. Thank you for such a comprehensive guide, with more information than one can actually process while on a single trip. I look forward to using it for years to come and when it finally wears out, I'll certainly pick up another copy.

As for the naming of rocks, I appreciated it. It gave me point of reference and something to call the behemoth structures when discussing past or upcoming sections".
