Another shot of the finished sub floor.

In order to prep for our Style Selections Luxury Viny tile installation we had to bring the sub floor up to the level of our previous flooring which was 1/2 inch tile. Fortunately the 2mm thickness of the Style Selections was close enough to the thickness of the old mortar so we were able to go with 1/2 inch plywood to make the thresholds all work out pretty well.

The entire floor was then sanded smooth with this vibrating deck sander using 80-grit sanding sheets. We rented it overnight and it was MUCH simpler than drying to do the job by hand.
