Clair, I might being the uppermost grass tufts a little lower into the photo. Also, the image looks tilted based on the background sun/shade line but that can sometimes be deceiving...

I like this image as it tells a story. That said, you could crop our most of the left side of the big cottonwood tree and show more of the scent the photographer is shooting. Nice composition.

Good use of the rule of thirds. I like the detail of the foreground branches, but wonder if they could somehow be better framed from an angle further back and higher that might keep them out of the aspens and isolated in the grass. Just a thought.

Nice image. My eye wants to see the full extent of the bright yellow tree on the left edge of the photo so you could shift it a bit and possibly crop out the distracting stick in the upper right of the photo.

I like the CREPUSCULAR RAYS shining from behind the clouds. The entire image is tilted to the left which makes my head turn...

Nice use of the narrow depth of field to draw the focus into the spider web and fence post. Ideally, the entire horse would be visible and not blocked by the fence post. You could also move spider web down and right, even cropping the right side of the fence post out of the lower right corner of the photo.

What is the intended focal point in this image. If you are going for wood grain then I would bring the focus into the immediate foreground. As it is, the metal railing is kind of in focus so my eye is drawn to it a bit... I think some creative zooming and focus could make this a better image.

Nice shot. I like the composition, especially how it keeps the purple rope/buckle in front of the other (through blurred) ropes. It is too bad we didn't have more cool rope and leather work to work with.

Nice shot, good use keeping the depth of field narrow. I think it would be stronger is the entire ATV was shifted to the left (this can be accomplished with a little shift in the photogs position) and the legs to the right. As it is there is too much hay bale in the photo, kind of distracting. I really like how the girls legs are cropped. It implies a story about girls versus boys that is up to the viewers imagination.

I feel like this is just a bit too cropped. The horse's whiskers are the most striking element of the image. I like the white on red contrast, but several of them are cropped out of the bottom of the image which makes me want to see more.

I like the composition. The narrow plan of focus might be more effective on the leading edge of the wall...? But the subtle colors reflected in the water are pretty cool.

A little on the dark side of the exposure spectrum. I can't quite answer if the hat in the top right corner is distracting or if helps crowd the feeling of the image with a crawling person...

I like the experimentation with exposure levels in this photo when compared to the one prior. As you can see, it makes a big difference in the outcome. I like this one better, but it sill lacks a really deep depth of field that would allow the bench to also be in focus.

Better depth of field. This is a good example of how the 1/3 in front and 2/3 behind really works. Assuming you did use a narrow aperture (F22) your natural inclination was to focus on Devon's face. That, however, didn't allow for all of the rings to be in focus. Instead, pull the focus back a few rings. Devon should still be in focus as would the rings in the foreground. I like it!
