I really like the focus on the backlit yellow-green leaves. i would shift them further left into the left third. This would bring the distant blurred leaves int the top right side of the photo further into the frame and give the whole photo some more balance.

I like the image. Again, I would shift it to the right third instead of the center. The dark pine needles that fill the right side of the image are relatively uninteresting. The focus is the sun star balanced by the horizon and orange yellow leaves. I want to see more of the orange yellow and less of the obscure dark black pine needles.

This is a composition that works well centered. The background is pretty similar in all directions so it does not need to be weighted to either side. That said, I would make sure the sign is vertical it is leaning slightly to the right and that the "War Eagle Dr" portion is not cropped out of the frame.

I like the composition, it is well balance. I am wondering what the focal point is. For this image I would have pulled the focus onto the larger green-yellow leaves in the lower right third.

As is, my eye wants to see more of the red bush, but this composition might work better if you moved it into the lower left corner and tried to place the prominent diagonal branch at the very corner of the image. This would have everything emanating out and away from the corner and it would be balanced by more sky and blurred aspen in the right third.

I am confused by the purpose of this image. If it is to show a photographer working in his element, I would like to see more of what he is taking a photo of.

Nice color and focus on the flower. The grass stalks on the left side of the image are distracting. I would move the flower to the left third and crop out the grass to make it a stronger image. That might also serve to bring in more of the dark shadows in to the top right to balance the bright colors of the flower.

This is a better shot of a photographer. It really shows the elements in which he is working by placing the photog in the right third.

Compositionally speaking, I think shifting your position to get the legs more into each vertical third of the image and each foot into the upper left and lower right third intersection would be better.

The element I am most drawn to in this image is the mini pour-over/waterfall in the bottom right third. As such, I would reframe by zooming in to highlight this diagonal element. Cropping out the dark water top left and the large tan rock top right might help.

This is one of my favorite fence post photos from our horse photo session. In a zoomed image like this, there is a natural narrowing of the depth of field right off the bat so sometimes it is better to use a mid-range aperture setting (f 8 to f 14) which will get more of your fence post in focus while still blurring the background.

I like this image, but wish I could see more of the emotion (ie Devon's face) when sharing this moment with her horse. The narrow depth of field helps, but I would have tried to capture more of the human element.

Focus is a little soft. The narrow depth of field doesn't really help in this photo if there is not much background from which to isolate the main subject. Compositionally speaking, I would have moved the photog's eye to the top third, cropped out his bright white cheek and ear and included the entire the entire camera to highlight the focus of the photographer working.

This is a nice blurred water capture. As you can see by the blurriness of the background bank, it is hard to hand hold these shots. I might consider cropping entirely onto the water, or include just a sliver of bank for perspective. If the blurred water is "blurry" you will never notice it.

Nice shot, good depth of field. Watch for distracting elements like the hiker and dog if you don't want them in the photo. I might shift the composition up a bit for a little more balance between foreground rocks and background shadows. Also, the horizon is tilted a little to the left. This is deceivingly difficult to get right until you notice it is several photos.

Nice clean sunstar which suggests your lens is free of dust. Perhaps it would be more effective off center...

I like the composition and line of the tree. It really draws you eye in to the upper right of the photo. The focus, however is soft in the leaves so I don't really know where to go with my eyes. Because the tree is so dark I would really try to get the leaves in focus and let a slightly blurry tree lead your eye into the world of color in the sky.

I don't know if you intended to capture the large eyes and smiling mouth below the person, but it works well. I also like the composition of rolling ridges behind the relatively narrow splash of graffiti color. It places the graffiti pit in context of the open slopes of Carbonate mtn. Nice work.

I know it is more difficult with a zoom lens, but I was hoping to see a broad depth of field capture on this image when I sent you over to the picnic bench. Ideally, a narrow aperture (F22) would allow the leaves and background to be in focus. That said, if you were going for a narrow depth of field, I would shift the focus into the cluster of leaves in the immediate foreground along the seam of the table.
