There are a few distracting elements like the the log and stick in the foreground, but otherwise this is a strong image. In an ideal world, I would find a similar composition without the grass that highlights the difference between the leaf litter and the forest in the background. I don't know if you intentionally under-exposed the image, but I do like the dark feeling in the photo.
Nice example of a deep depth of field. Composition wise, imagine if you swung both your position and the camera a little to the left. It would capture more of the leaf-covered path (which I think is the main focus) moving across the frame of the image. If you put the sunny opening in the top third it would really lead the eye through the photo.
Pretty good depth of field example, but the image is pretty chaotic with nothing specific that holds the eye.
